I've had a lot of questions about the size of the bag (as in "will the bag fit this tablet or that tablet?") So here's the scoop: the approximate INSIDE measurement-length of the bag is 9 3/4" of Padded area. Now because the bag has a fold over flap with Velcro AND a clip latch with adjustable strapping to lengthen/shorten there is some adjustment with where the Velcro is catching and how long you extend the length of the clip latch strap. EXAMPLE-I have a Microsoft Surface that is 10 5/8" in length. My tablet sticks out beyond the padded area 3/4" but the flap encloses it. To keep it securely inside I fasten the clip type latch. The only minor issue is that the Velcro closures barely grip with the Surface inside. Since it has the dual closures of the Velcro & the clip latch I don't find this to be much of a problem. If it bothered you (and you were handy you could simply move the Velcro to alleviate this....it will be an even better fit for the tablets of 10.5" in length. It's a great bag I love it.... So in a nutshell it's Optimum fit for an Ipad/ Good fit for any tablet of 10.5"/ Decent fit for any tablet of 10 5/8"
I'm a residential home inspector, a tablet is my primary tool. I carry this bag and an electrician size tool bag/pouch. I crawl through bushes and attics with it, the tablet goes in and out of the pocket at least fifty times a day. I never use the big flap, so every couple weeks I take my gear out and pound the bag upside down on the concrete, then push a shop vac nozzle into the tight areas.
This stm bag is easily one of the highest quality pieces of gear I've purchased, I'm really impressed, it barely looks worn.
I use the shoulder pad for my heavier tool bags. Their pads are always cheap and fall apart after a few weeks. The pad has outlived over two tool bags, and it too looks like new. So, thank you stm, it is refreshing to own a product that isn't built to break. I wish stm had tool bag/pouches.

Pros:
Constructed well with sturdy materials
Side & bottom of iPad section well pad
Has four other sections, one with phone, pen, notepad, phone sections and ability to expand a little for a small item, another with zipper, and another front sections with a small amount of expansion capability, and back available only for a few thin items
Lightweight
Shoulder strap adjustment stays in place and has a generously padded shoulder guard which is removeable
Once front buckle is engaged the contents are secure
Color is pleasant and unique without being garish
Although it's small, it's size and appearance designates it as an electronic instrument bag and not a purse
Cons:
Size too small for anything more than iPad, a few pens, phone, and a few small documents. After that a small cap or scarf is its limit.
Not large enough for anything as large as a full sheet of paper ( it would have to be folded) or a folder
Should guard padding is too thick for the bags size and weight capacity
Limited expansion capability
Section for phone doesn't have a zipper, so the phone can fall out easily as the material is a bit slick
The inner iPad flap and the hand strap makes closing the outer flap cumbersome
Buckling the outer flap is cumbersome due to the buckle being under the end of flap
I bought it to carry my iPad and a few accessories, it holds that okay, but don't expect to fit much more in it. I wish the handle were removable, short of using a knife. The green color is darker and "greener" than it appears on my calibrated screen, I do like the color better in person. The material is soft cotton, seems durable, but is NOT waterproof. The pocket for your netbook/tablet has about 1/4" padding around all 6 sides. The shoulder strap is removable and replaceable, assuming you can find something else to fit in the loops.
Watch for this to go on sale, but I would not pay full ($40) price for this bag.

Update : Sent a email about the clasp and STM immediately sent two replacement clasps at no charge. (Shipping was very fast) Since then I have had no issue with the bag. Gone from a 3 star rating to 5 for outstanding customer service.
