I rarely write reviews for products unless it is an unbelievably quality product or service, and these shoes definitely fit the bill. I've worn all kinds of different shoes throughout my life and from many different brands, but none compare to Clarks. I still don't know how I came across these shoes several years ago, but I'm glad I purchased them and have been buying this exact same model -- along with others -- every time I need a new pair.

For one thing, these shoes are built to last. I'm not hard on my shoes like some people are but I do expect my shoes to hold up decently after a few months of wear. Well, these shoes do. Aside from some creases, which are going to happen no matter what shoe you wear, these still look the same after a year of wearing them at least 3-4 times a week. Normally, most of my shoes wear off from the sole after a few months of use and I end up buying a new pair even if the top looks fine. These shoes, for some reason don't wear out on the sole and they hold up strong. The quality of these shoes can't be matched. Everything from the soles, to the top of the shoe, and the laces hold up perfectly no matter how much use you put into them.

I've purchased 4 pairs since I first discovered Clarks and I've also purchased other models from this company. They have a loyal customer for life with me. Their shoes meet and exceed ALL my expectations including comfort, durability, and style. I literally wear these each day for work, but I also use them for casual wear on the weekends. Clarks makes a quality product and I hope that never changes. Great job on the quality!

Based on other reivews, I ordered a half size small than usual. They were too big, so I returned and got another half size smaller. So for me, they ran a full size larger. (I know, that's some impressive math.) But I'm happy with the shoe now that I have the right fit. The quality seems good, they're comfy, supportive and the price was right. If I had a gripe it would be the sole can be a bit slick on some surfaces.

Thinking. Second pair of Clarks' for me. First ones (different style) are still great after several years. Amazon shipped these to me very quickly and free, so no complaints there.

I wear extra wide shoes to wrap around my high arches, so finding a good fit can be a challenge. These are great that way, but -- my fault -- I should've been more diligent and read what so many here have said. I almost always wind up buying 11s, but sometimes a 10.5 is better. This would probably have been one of those times. They arrived the day before yesterday, and I wore them while working at home all day yesterday. They will be fine, and the garbage truck has come and gone with the packaging, so I will happily keep these. I won't wear them outside, though, until the snow has all melted away. Not much lug on these soles.

Very nicely made, the contrast stitching looks good on the black "tumbled" leather (pebble-grain, really; no sign of any real tumbling), but the first polishing will create a monotone. I won't mind that much.

Overall, I count these as a great buy. Thinking of watching the price fluctuations on the browns.

These shoes have roughly the same minimal padding and cushion as most other office friendly shoes... BUT they are incredibly light and flexible. This virtually eliminates the need for padding that is required as compensation on other shoes. I wear these shoes to work every day and they're so comfortable I usually wear them on the weekend also.

The only downside is that their lightweight material does tend to make them wear out quicker on the exterior of the shoe and the sole. With daily usage I wore the sole completely smooth within 6 months but continued to wear them anyways. For the comfort, I would easily keep buying a replacement pair every 6 months.

I then ordered a 9 4E Wide shoe and it was still slightly long but plenty wide enough. I decided to keep them because I didn't want to hassle with shipping, any more than necessary but I think the 8.5 4E would have fit perfectly. Apparently, this shoe runs a bit long but the width is as expected.

It is light weight, very comfortable, durable, looks amazing, gives the look and feel of very good quality. These are very high quality since I wear my other ones daily and they hold up well, better than any other casual shoes I owned in the past. When I wear these they feel like a cloud but provide great support. There is nothing for the price that compares for a casual shoe. These cost $189.99 when they first came out in a few show stores and I got my first pair (in brown colour) for $110 on sale and I thought that was a good price for this level of quality. $74.95 on Amazon is so great! I might have to get another pair!
